Welcome from the Headteacher
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to St Mary’s Catholic Junior School.
I am delighted to introduce myself as the Acting Headteacher and I feel privileged to be leading such a warm, caring, and committed school community. St Mary’s has a strong tradition of nurturing children through these important junior years and I am proud to be continuing that journey with you.
We work closely with our colleagues at St Mary’s Catholic Infant School to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for children joining us in Year 3. From the very beginning, our aim is to provide a rich and stimulating education that not only develops key skills but also builds character and confidence. Learning at St Mary’s goes far beyond the classroom. We encourage children to embrace every opportunity with enthusiasm and we support them to grow into thoughtful, resilient and responsible young people—ready to take their place in the world.
While we celebrate academic achievement, including our strong KS2 SATs results, we believe that true success lies in developing the whole child. That’s why every child at St Mary’s learns and lives out the values of the ‘St Mary’s Way’: to be active, aspirational, collaborative, friendly, independent, persistent, responsible, and versatile.
Whether you are new to our community or already familiar with our school, I warmly invite you to come and visit us, speak with our staff and see first-hand what makes St Mary’s such a special place to learn and grow.
Yours faithfully,
Miss S Fizul
